How do I import a recipe from a website?
Open the recipe URL in Safari, tap the Share button, and select "Stravnyk" from the share sheet. The recipe will be automatically imported with ingredients, instructions, and photos.
Does Stravnyk work offline?
Yes! All your recipes are stored locally on your device. You can view, edit, and cook with your recipes without an internet connection. Changes will sync via iCloud when you're back online.
How does iCloud sync work?
When enabled, Stravnyk automatically syncs your recipes, collections, meal plans, and grocery lists across all devices signed into the same iCloud account. Enable it in Settings → iCloud Sync.
Can I scan handwritten recipes?
Yes! Use the camera import feature to capture printed recipes with on-device OCR. For handwritten recipes or photos of dishes, you can use AI-powered recognition by providing your own Google Gemini API key in Settings. Gemini offers a generous free tier.
What is the Gemini API key and how do I get one?

Can I export my recipes?
Yes! You can export individual recipes as PDF or share them via link, AirDrop, QR code, or the iOS share sheet. You can also export all your data from Settings.
What languages are supported?
Stravnyk is available in 17 languages including English, Spanish, French, German, Italian, Portuguese, Chinese, Japanese, Korean, Polish, Ukrainian, Hindi, Indonesian, Danish, Serbian, and Arabic.
Is my data private?
